Party for GPAFG! We will be meeting in the Greenhouse at Simmons Farm for a hayride and pumpkin picking at 12:10pm on October 10, 2010.
Children are $9.50 and that includes the Hayride, Pumpkin, Ear of Indian corn, apple, cider and fun activities in the Field.
Adults are $7.50 and that includes all of the above items, except the pumpkin. If you want a pumpkin please just let me know you need that type of ticket.

First, a quick re-hash of the picnic...Based on everybody's comments, I believe it was a tremendous success! Thanks to all who contributed to making it such a great day for all the families! And we had so many "first time" families attend. Bienvenidos!! Hope to see you at more events in the future. To the family(ies) who left behind a black serving spoon and the "keep cool" pad, I have them. Please let me know so I can bring them to the next event....which is....
Our Hayride/Pumpkin Picking at Simmons Farm in McMurray. Much thanks to Kelly and Tony Caruso for organizing. Tentative date is October 10, the Steelers "off" week. Look for more details shortly. This event is also listed in the event section of gpafg.com.
We had a fantastic response to the GPFAG T-shirts at the picnic, so we're offering one final ordering period for 2010. Check previous posts, or contact me for details on the shirts. Cost is $10.00 for youth sizes, $12.00 for adult. Deadline for orders is September 17. Shirts will be ready for pick-up in plenty of time for the Hayride.
Please make sure the group has your updated email address. I hope to make a GPAFG Family Directory our big project for 2011, and we want to include everybody.
Hope everyone has survived the "back-to-school" rush...whether for pre-school, kindergarten, elementary, or jr. high. See you October 10! Mike |

Our Fourth annual trip to see the Pirates. The opponent is the San Francisco Giants. All children in attendance will receive an Andrew McCutchen replica alternate jersey.
In addition, this year we are taking part in a special Roberto Clemente promotion. ALL group members who purchase a ticket - adults AND kids - will receive a replica Roberto Clemente throwback jersey. What a great way to pay tribute to one of the greatest Latino heroes, not only in sports, but in life.
In keeping with the promotion, tickets are $21. each. You may forward your reservations, with checks made payable to "Pittsburgh Pirates" to:
